Adult Education-Sunday School

We believe that Christian Education is as important for adults as it is for children and youth. None of us could advance in our careers if our education stopped at the 8th grade, and the same is true for our lives as Christians. Continuing education is essential throughout our lives! Our Sunday Adult Class meets between Services, from 9:30 - 10:30, in our Fellowship Hall. Coffee is available, and a lively discussion is guaranteed. A wide range of topics are covered, usually in 5-6 week segments. We’re sure everyone will find something of interest in the Sunday Adult Class!

Women of the ELCA

All Women Are Welcome!

Christ the King is active in the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church In America, a churchwide women’s ministry of the ELCA. This group of women, gather once a month to pray, engage in Bible study, and organize themselves around both local and global mission projects. We meet the second Monday of each month at 1:00pm. The women are currently studying Traveling Light by Max Lucado.

Our mission statement is: To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.

Please join us on the second Monday of every month at 1:00pm — Sept-May

For more information contact the church office.

Men’s Fellowship

The third Thursday of each month the men of the church get together for coffee, donuts and fellowship. This group meets at 9am in the Conference room. Following our fellowship the group will have a speaker (Hot Air Balloons, train trips, Medical issues for men etc.) or travel to a site of interest. We have been to Airstream travel trailer manufacturing plant, Downtown Dayton historical sites, Wright Brothers home, Ohio State University Coliseum and many others. Occasionally we will meet on another day because of requirements of our Speaker/Site. Check the calendar for any changes to our schedule. All men are welcome and we encourage you to bring a friend.

Kings Krowd

The "King's Krowd" is an informal adult fellowship group that provides periodic opportunities for our members to get to know one another while having a fun time.  Responsibility for arranging and advertising King's Krowd events is handled by individual members as the spirit moves them.  Recent activities have included events such as a Game Night, in which attendees rotated among tables to enjoy board games and each others' company; and a Christmas "White Elephant" gift exchange, in which attendees brought wrapped presents and then drew numbers to pick a present from among them. Often the gatherings are designed as a way of making  money for our local outreach programs such as Adopt-a-family or The Castle.  The Kings Krowd has also gone to various places for dinner, to plays and other performances.  Good food and fellowship are a consistent characteristic of Kings Krowd events!
