Lay Ministry

Under Construction

Altar Guild

Members of the altar guild are grateful servants; ministers of God, ministers of God’s people, ministers of the liturgy and ministers of the worship space. The Altar Guild exists as an assistant to the pastor and is in service to the congregation. The basic motivation for serving on the Altar Guild is in gratitude for all that Christ has done for us. Whether it is preparing the altar for communion, polishing vessels, cleaning and pressing the linens, changing paraments and banners, the work is never a burden but is a expression of joy. If you are interested in joining the Altar Guild please contact the office at [email protected] or call 937-885-5785.

Music Opportunities

Chimes

Our purpose is the same as the Adult choir and that is to help the congregations give praise to the Lord. Our group meets on Friday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the choir room. We own a two octave set of hand bell chimes. It is great fun to learn the different techniques that apply to this skill. Anyone interested in this fun musical activity please contact the Music Director or contact the office.

Choir

The purpose of the Adult choir is to give praise and glory to the Lord our God. Our job is to help the congregation sing and enhance the worship service. We practice in the choir room on thursdays at 7:00 p.m. Our practices last for about one hour and a half. Sometimes we rehearse in the sanctuary especially when we have a special feast coming. Our repetoire consists of sacred music that is classic to contemporary, and generally weaves into the mood and feeling of the Sunday readings. Come check us out!

For more information please contact our Music Director or contact the office.
